Forward commits to BGSU hockey
Tyler Spezia, a forward for the Port Huron Falcons in the North American (Junior) Hockey League, has verbally committed to play collegiate at Bowling Green.
He'll join the Falcons for the 2014-15 season.
Spezia had nine goals and 11 assists in 14 regular-season games for Port Huron after starting the season with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States (Junior) Hockey League.
He also had 12 penalty minutes, an on-ice rating of plus-9, two power-play goals and one short-handed goal with the Falcons. He had four goals and two assists in 23 games with Dubuque.
Spezia, who is from Clinton Township, Mich., is 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, turns 20-years-old June 7.
