Rogers earns player of the year honor
Alexis Rogers was honored as the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball player of the year at
the team’s annual banquet.
Rogers was also the power player of the year.
Other award winners were: Falcon Award, given to the team; playmaker of the year and impact player of the
year, Jillian Halfhill; most improved player, Deborah Hoekstra; and scholar-athletes of the year,
Hoekstra and Stein.
The Falcons were 30-5 overall and won the Mid-American Conference regular-season championship, going
17-1.
BGSU’s Narro leads tourney
WHITE SULPHER SPRINGS, W.Va. – Bowling Green State University’s Joe Narro leads the Greenbrier Collegiate
Invitational at The Old White TPC Course with a 3-under-par 137 after the first two rounds.
The Falcons are fourth in the seven-team field with a 22-over 582 total. Marshall leads with a 568 total.

Other BG scores are: Brett Rinker, tied for 10th, 146; Chris Melvin, tied for 20th, 149; Joe Cooper, tied
for 23rd, 150; and Ryan Triller, 37th, 158.
The final two rounds are today.
BGSU baseball postponed
The Bowling Green State University-Findlay baseball game scheduled for today was postponed.
Mud Hens win second straight
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Toledo scored five times in the fourth inning to post a 6-2 win over Louisville in a
game called after six innings due to rain.
James McCann had two hits for Toledo, Hernan Perez had two hits, and J.D. Martinez hit a solo home run
for Toledo, now 4-7 in the International League West.
