COLUMBUS — Elmwood senior Brittany Gross was a special-mention selection on the All-Ohio Division III girls basketball team announced Tuesday.
Gross, a senior guard, averaged 14.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game this season.
Ottoville’s Abby Siefker, who signed a national letter of intent to attend Bowling Green State University, is the Division IV player of the year. Siefker, 6-foot-2, averaged 17.1 points per game this season.
Rachel Myers, a BGSU recruit who attends Liberty-Benton, was a second-team honoree in Division III. She averaged 15.6 points per game.

CLEVELAND — Bowling Green sophomore Paris Imolz and Akron freshman Erin Seiler are the Mid-American Conference East co-pitchers of the week. Seiler is a resident of BG.
Imholtz was 4-1 with a 1.63 earned-run average in nine games, including two complete-game wins. She struck out 23 and walked 12 in 43 innings.
Seiler made seven appearances and tossed three complete-game victories in the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla.
She had a 0.67 ERA in her three wins. She had 34 strikeouts in 381⁄3 innings, allowing only seven earned runs and three walks in the seven games.
BGSU men’s golfers finish fifth
PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. — The Bowling Green State University men’s golf team shot a final round 308 to finish fifth with a 916 total at the Triumph at Pauma Valley.
San Francisco won the nine-team event with an 861 total.
BG’s Ryan Triller was ninth with a 220. Other BG scores were: Wes Gates, tied for 20th, 230; Joe Cooper, tied for 25th, 232; Charlie Olson, tied for 33rd, 236; Holden Pahr, tied for 48th, 249.
BG’s Josh Bialecki, tied for 29th, 234, and Torey Brummell, tied for 46th, 246, competed as individuals.
Falcon baseball postponed
Due to snow in the forecast and cold temperatures, today’s Bowling Green Falcon baseball game against Malone College at Steller Field was postponed. A makeup date was not announced.
Owens men seeded eighth
The Owens Community College Express men’s basketball team opens the NJCAA Division II national tournament against No. 11 Iowa Lakes Community College next Tuesday in Danville, Ill.
The Express, 24-8, earned the eighth seed.
