BGSU baseball splits
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Western Kentucky beat Bowling Green State University's baseball team, 4-3 on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Falcons posted a 3-2 victory over WKU. With Sunday's loss, BG went 2-1 on the weekend against the Hilltoppers.
In Sunday's game, the Falcons scored three times in the top of the ninth on a bases-loaded throwing error. Andrew Kubuski doubled for BG.
Brian Bien drove in the eventual game-winning run in the seventh inning for the Falcons on Saturday.
T.J. Losby hit a solo home run for the Falcons, Treg Keegan had two hits and Jeremy Shay had a hit and an RBI.
Mike Frank, Brett Fitzwater and Ethan McKenney combined on a seven-hitter, striking out nine and walking three.

Falcon gymnasts finish sixth
RALEIGH, N.C. - The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team finished sixth in the Sweetheart Invitational. The Falcons finished with a 193.200 total. Host North Carolina won the meet with a 195.675 total.
BG's leaders were: beam, Megan Harrington and Jamilah Ali, 9.7 each; floor, Harrington and Gina Locigno, 9.875 each; vault, Harrington, Sunny Marchand and Alyssa Nocella, 9.725 each; and uneven bars, Caroline Ellingboe, 9.775.

Softball tourney canceled
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Due to the snow and cold weather, Bowling Green State University's softball games Saturday and Sunday in the South Carolina-Upstate Spartan Invitational were canceled.
The Falcons, who won their opener in the tournament on Friday, were scheduled to play George Mason and Winthrop on Saturday and Samford on Sunday.

Otsego boys to play at Maumee
MAUMEE - Tonight's Otsego-Maumee boys basketball game will be played at Maumee High School, due to the Division I girls sectional tournament games at Otsego.

Owens women upset Cincinnati State
The Owens Community College women's basketball team knocked off No. 20 Cincinnati State, 82-65 Saturday. Owens trailed by six points at the half, but scored 52 points in the second half, making 20-of-30 shots from the field.
Emma-Jean Rickets had 21 points, nine rebounds and four steals for the Express. Other leaders for Owens were: Uniqua Mitchell, 14 points, nine rebounds; Karahn Scott, 13 points, seven rebounds; and Nandi Taylor, 12 points, five assists.
Owens (21-7 overall) and Cincinnati State (23-5 overall) are now tied for first place in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference at 8-2.

Owens men lose
Cincinnati State rallied to beat the Owens Community College men's basketball team, 90-82 Saturday. The loss knocked the Express out of a first-place tie in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
James Kelly had 18 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for the Express, now 19-8 overall and 8-2 in the conference.
Other leaders for Owens were: Joe Retic II, 19 points, five assists; Andy Bachman, 18 points; Franklin Lindsey, 12 points; and Jay Marquette, a Rossford resident, six assists and four blocked shots, both team hights.
