Otsego boys 12th in poll
COLUMBUS - Otsego's boys basketball team is ranked 12th in the Division II state-wide poll this week.
The Knights, 16-2 overall, received 13 points in the media voting.
Otsego was 11th with 24 points last week.
BG's Calhoun earns MAC honor
CLEVELAND - A'uston Calhoun, a fifth-year senior on the Bowling Green's men's basketball team, is the Mid-American Conference's East Division player of the week.
Calhoun averaged 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in two contests last week.
BGSU men's golfers off to good start
DADE CITY, Fla. - The Bowling Green State University men's golf went 2-0 Monday to advance to the championship match of the Mid-American Conference Match Play Event. BG faces Ball State today.
All six Falcons contributed points in the two matches, with Chris Melvin and Charlie Olson both going.
BG, the No. 6 seed, beat No. 3 seed Toledo in round one.
Both teams finished the match with three points, but the Falcons advanced on the tie-breaker, due to finishing with a wider margin of victory when each match was completed.
In the semifinals the Falcons beat Northern Illinois, 5-1.
Lakota boys basketball game rescheduled
KANSAS - Lakota's boys basketball game at Hardin Northern has been rescheduled for Feb. 19.
The game was posted because of snow Feb. 2.
Elmwood selling boys sectional tickets
JERRY CITY - Tickets for the Elmwood boys basketball sectional game March 1 at Findlay High School starting at 8 p.m. are on sale in the High School office.
Tickets are available from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and are $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Owens' Kelly honored
James Kelly, a sophomore forward for the Owens Community College men's basketball team, has been named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference player of the week.
In his two games last week, Kelly totaled 42 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks, three steals and one assist.
