BG-Chatard hockey canceled
Sunday’s Bowling Green High School hockey game at home against Indianapolis Chatard has been canceled.

The Blueliner Raffle will be held during the game against Shaker Heights Feb. 2 at 11:30 a.m. All ticket
stubs will be good for this game.
BG’s game against Sylvania Northview has been rescheduled for Friday at 9 p.m. at Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter.

Falcon tennis picked fifth
CLEVELAND – Bowling Green’s women’s tennis team finished in a tie for fifth in the conference’s preseason
coaches poll.
Miami was first with 68 points, followed by Eastern Michigan 54, Western Michigan 50, Ball State 44, BG
and Akron 41, Buffalo 34, Toledo 19 and Northern Illinois 9.
Owens women win 17th straight
KIRTLAND – Sixth-ranked Owens Community College’s women’s basketball team won its 17th straight game
Wednesday, posting a 92-39 win over Lakeland CC.
The winning streak ties the 1996-97 team for the second-longest in school history.
Eboni Adams had 22 points and Kamilah Carter added 18 for Owens, 17-1 overall and 3-0 in the Ohio
Community College Athletic Conference. Lakeland is 3-15, 0-3.
Owens hosts Edison Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and an Express win would tie for the 2009-10 team for the
longest winning streak in school history.
Express men post victory
KIRTLAND – Sixteenth-ranked Owens Community College’s men’s basketball team erased a nine-point deficit
in the final four minutes Wednesday to post a 76-72 win over Lakeland Community College tonight.
The Express also trailed by as many as 19 points late in the first half before rallying to improve to
16-4 overall and 3-0 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference. Lake is 10-8, 2-1.
Bikramjit Gill had 16 points, 21 rebounds and four blocked shots for Owens. The 21 rebounds tied the
single-game rebounding record held by James Kelly (Lakeland, Feb. 5, 2012) and Eric Seaman (Clark
Technical College, Feb. 16, 1985).
Fostoria YMCA offers adult softball
FOSTORIA – The Geary Family YMCA is offer men’s and coed adult softball leagues this spring.
The registration deadline is April 11th.
