SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Bowling Green High School graduate Caroline Powers is in an eight-way tie for 12th place after Friday's first round of the Four Winds Invitational.
Powers, a recent graduate of Michigan State University, shot a 2-under-par 70 at Blackthorn Golf Club.  Four players share the lead with 4-under 68s.
The 144-player tournament, which is part of the LPGA’s Symetra Tour, continues today and Sunday.
