MOOSIC, Pa. - Toledo won a doubleheader from Scranton/Wilkes Barre posting wins of 4-1 and 3-1 Tuesday. The Mud Hens are 46-59 in the IL West.
In the opener, Avisail Gracia hit a three-run home run in the 10th inning to lift the Mud Hens to the win. Five Toledo pitchers combined on a six-hitter as Jose Valverde got his fifth save.
In the second game, Nick Castellanos' three-run home run in the sixth inning was the difference. Three Toledo pitchers combined on a three-hitter in the seven inning game with Blaine Henry improving to 3-0.
