TOLEDO - Norfolk scored seven runs in the third inning on the way to a 9-2 win over Toledo Sunday. It was the fifth straight loss for the Mud Hens, 31-46 in the International League West. Ryan Strieby was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI for the Mud Hens. Adam Wilk gave up seven runs, five earned, in 2 1/3 innings. On Saturday, the Mud Hens took a 6-2 lead into the eighth inning, but dropped an 8-7 decision to the Tides. Justin Henry wad 3-for-5 with two RBI for Toledo, Ben Guez was 2-for-3 and Ryan Strieby hit a double. Toledo starter Andy Oliver pitched 6 1/3 inning, allowing five hits four walks and two earned runs with two strikeouts. The Mud Hens' bullpen pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing six hits, three walks and six earned runs while striking out three. |
