LOUISVILLE - Louisville scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on the way to a 3-2 win over Toledo in International League play Sunday. The Mud Hens are 37-53 in the IL West. Thad Weber (5-8) took the loss. He pitched 72‚Ñ3 innings allowing seven hits and one earned run with one walk and three strikeouts. Toledo's Argenis Diaz was 4-for-4, extending his hitting streak to 10 games. Ben Guez added a double and an RBI for the Mud Hens. On Saturday, Jacob Turner pitched a complete game shutout to help the Mud Hens beat the Bats, 2-0. Turner (4-2) did not walk a batter and struck out six while allowing three singles. Byran Pounds hit a solo home run for Toledo while Danny Worth had two hits and Guez and Jerad Head each hit a double. |
