TOLEDO — Thad Weber struck out a career-high 12 to help Toledo post a 5-2 win over Buffalo Friday in International League play. The Mud Hens are 26-29 in the IL West.
Weber (4-3) went the first seven inning, allowing five hits and two earned runs while walking two. Jose Ortego, Matt Hoffman and Chris Bootcheck (11th save) closed things out.
Top hitters for Toledo were: Justin Henry, 3-for-4; Brad Eldred, 2-for-3, including a two-run home run, his 21st of the season; Brent Dlugach, two RBI; and Ben Guez, triple.
