Nine teams faced off in the inaugural Baker Shoot-Out which was held as a preliminary event to last week's Professional Bowlers Association Senior Regional.
The Melendrez team won the event. Pancha Melendrez was joined on the team by Mondo Calderon, Larry Long and Don Hannam. The team had Ron Mohr for their pro partner.
The team defeated the Fritz team 3-2 in the best-of-5 title match. 220-209, 214-225, 195-212, 267-204 and 222-215.
The Melendrez team shared $1,200. Fritz team shared $600 after qualifying first at 2,288 for the 10 games of qualifying.
Mallory Fritz and Mike Fritz were joined on their team by John Przybylski and Ryan Vojtosh. Their professional teammate was Kevin Foley.
Melendrez qualified second at 2,114 and had to face the Henschen team in the semifinal match. They swept 221-203, 244-179 and 247-193.
Henchen's team consisting of Nate Henschen, Bob Desmond, Jake Wint and Josh Crawford, were joined by their pro teammate Dale Eagle. The team shared $500.
The event featured the Baker format where bowlers alternate frames throughout each game.
