TOLEDO - Jeremy Bonderman threw eight scoreless innings and the Toledo Mud Hens defeated Charlotte, 6-0, Sunday. Charlotte beat Toledo, 4-2, on Saturday. The 'Hens are 20-30 in the International League.
On Sunday, Bonderman allowed six hits with five strikeouts and no walks to improve to 1-1 with Toledo. Mike Hessman and Marcus Thames each homered to lead the 'Hens' offense.
On Saturday, Toledo starter Brooks Brown allowed three runs in eight innings, but still took the loss. Catcher Dusty Ryan hit his second home run in three games to lead Toledo at the plate.
