Smoking should not be allowed. It is very bad for you, it affects other people, and it is expensive.
One of the reasons I think smoking should not be allowed is because it can cause many diseases. Here are some of the diseases smoking can cause: Blindness , impaired sense of smell, cancer of lips, cancer of mouth, impaired sense of taste, halitosis, throat cancer, larynx cancer, pharynx cancer, esophageal cancer, heart cancer, lung cancer, bronchus cancer, chronic obstructive colon disease, asthma, gastric cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, infertility, impotence, cervical cancer, and many other diseases.
Smoking affects other people. Studies at the American Cancer Society show that secondhand smoke can take five years off of a child's life. When parents smoke it can also affect a child's breathing capacity. It would be very difficult for a child to get very active which is a bad thing considering 60 minutes of being active daily is a critical thing for a child's health (according to the American Cancer society). When someone smokes next to your car it smells like smoke inside your car. When someone smokes next to a building and you walk into it it can also smell like smoke.
Smoking can be very expensive. A carton of cigarettes can cost up to $75 dollars.
Cigarettes are a waste of money because they give you diseases, take years off of your life, They are addictive, bad for other people and bad for the person smoking.
