We, as Americans, seem to have amnesia concerning "who works for who" in regards to our elected officials.
The fact is, they are supposed to be working for us, not the other way around. Do we really think that a government who wants to tax us into oblivion are working on our behalf? If so, we need to get real, America!
So when we see our government looking for new things to tax, along with increases on existing taxes, when are we going to say, "enough"?! At what point does taxation turn into legalized theft? Why do we think that it's better for the economy when the government continues to keep raping our pocketbooks? If we think that our savings and retirement accounts are safe, we need to wake up, as it's only a matter of time before they dip into those, as well. Our economy will thrive only when Uncle Sam takes his sticky fingers out of our wallets. How can consumers spend more of their hard-earned money to stimulate our economy when "Big Brother" keeps finding more ways to take what belongs to us, and we keep getting a smaller slice of our own pie?
We are once again experiencing "Taxation without representation". Let us not be so naive to think that because it's legal, it must be right. Those in high places who are corrupt will legalize that which is wrong! It's really quite simple. If they vote for tax increases, fire them! Remember, they work for us!
