To the Editor: Walbridge took a step backwards

Dear Members of the Walbridge Council:
Congratulations! You have managed to oust Dan Wilczynski, who brought both dignity and respect to our Villlage of Walbridge and to the office of mayor.
No matter the many good things he did for our village. No matter that even in these economic times, he was able to keep the village in the black. No matter that he dealt with every issue with knowledge and every individual with compassion. No matter that he was always well spoken , well informed and brought pride to our community.
The only thing that mattered to you was the number of meetings that he was unable to attend due to his work, even though he was always available by cell phone or e-mail.
No matter that the voters were informed before the election that he would not be at all the meetings and the voters still chose him to be the leader of our village.
We now have quantity, not quality. Looks like Walbridge is going back to being, at best, only mediocre.

We can only hope on upcoming elections there are enough candidates on the ballot to remove and replace our current council.

Hey Jagaha, what you are saying and what Mr. Byington said is it is ok to break the law... Clearly you have not read the ORC 3.17.. Try and work on getting the facts first before writing about getting rid of the council members that did what the ORC said to do...Perhaps you need to write about the one council member who at times didn't vote to excuse the Mayor...He needed to look up the ORC...
