To the Editor: Voting for Wood Lane is a wise investment

To the Editor:
Sometimes local government spending is simply a good investment in doing what is right.
The Wood Lane program provides vital services to our developmentally disabled citizens and their families. By providing local, community based services, Wood Lane actually saves our tax monies by preventing these citizens from being institutionalized; which is inhumane care at much greater expense.
At the same time, through early intervention and support services, Wood Lane clients can become productive citizens, able to hold a job and pay taxes.
I urge all Wood County voters to do the right thing - vote for the Wood Lane levy and make a prudent investment in our community.
