To the Editor:
As our children have grown, we have been witness to how many dedicated school staff members Bowling Green is fortunate to have. We also understand the innate and invaluable importance of family and community involvement in the education process.
Continuing to foster both parent volunteerism and student volunteerism will always be beneficial as a life-long learning experience and core value of any community! Someday, I am hopeful to be remembered as a catalyst for these values.
100 years from now, it won’t matter what kind of car we drove or what kind of house we lived in. It will matter that we were important in the life of our kids and their classmates. I know Bowling Green City Schools staff members from Administration to teachers to bus drivers to maintenance and others live this statement. I also know the State of Ohio requires CEU’s for teaching staff and many of BG school staff members have achieved these standards and continue to be an integral part of the long-term Excellent with Distinction school rating and education of our students. Learning and leadership are part of a forward-thinking community of higher education.
Go Cats go! I’ll always be proud of the places you will go! I will always be willing to shout that on behalf of our students. Vote yes for our students and forward-thinking education.
