|To the Editor: Tenant says Liss has not made rent threats|

After reading the letter from Mr. Sweeney, I thought it was mean, vindictive, and slanderous. He should get facts from Jerry Liss or myself (one of Jerry's four tenants). Jerry never told me he would raise my rent, and hasn't for 10 years.
Usually permission is asked of Jerry or myself to put signs in my yard. Right now I have two BG School signs in my yard and no one asked permission. Jerry said to leave them there anyway, since I'm a retired teacher. I wasn't pleased the way a few articles portrayed teachers. I have talked with co-workers and they are saying the levy is too much. Don't landlords have the right to put signs on their properties? Mr. Sweeney had freedom of speech when he wrote the editor.
I'm hoping people will do their own research and not believe everything they read.
