To the Editor:
Hail and Farewell.
After 37 years in Bowling Green and Wood County I am pulling up my rather deep roots and leaving for Georgetown, Texas, to be with family. Originally I thought I would only be here for three or four years at Bowling Green State University.
Well needless-to-say that three or four year span turned into 37 years. My time here has been so full of…life; the good, the not so good and the wondrous.
The City of Bowling Green is so rich with possibilities, events and opportunities.
Wood County is a large expanse of diverse experiences from farming to industry and everything in between. We have places to eat, play and work that can fulfill a variety of needs, interests and wants.
We have a public safety cadre in the city and throughout the county that trains to protect and serve the populace 24/7.
My time with my brothers and sisters in these agencies who serve: Central Joint Fire District, American Red Cross, the Wood County Health District, Medical Reserve Corp and the Wood County Emergency Management Agency has been challenging on many levels and full of dedicated and talented people.
So thank you BG and Wood County for a wonderful life.
My new journey will be full of fond memories of my time here and the people I met.
