In response to: “...Who protects us from the protectors?...”
I submit to you that the Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Paul Dobson does a wonderful job of serving the citizens of Wood County.
As a police officer I learned early in my career that things didn’t always work out the way I would have liked. Indeed, Mr. Dobson and I had disagreements when he was an assistant prosecutor. In the end, I came to respect his decisions as a skillful and dedicated attorney. My job was to catch the criminals and it was his job and the job of other prosecutors to prosecute as they saw fit.
To answer your question... if you don’t break the law you really don’t need to worry about who protects you from the protectors. If you do break the law, rest assured that a capable group of public defenders and defense attorneys will be there to get you the best possible deal.
