To the Editor: Public option needed

Congressional plans for mandating health insurance must include a "non-profit" option. Government cannot require its citizens to fill the pockets of insurance giants who then use millions of dollars for lobbying. Whatever form the "public option" takes, it must be available to individuals and small businesses.
