To the Editor: Planting flowers and not littering can keep Bowling Green clean

Bowling Green needs to stay clean because it's pollution to the air. That's making the air yucky and Bowling Green look bad. It also needs to stay clean because there are cute, healthy animals who want to live a long happy trash free live.
We all could start by planting flowers, trees, bushes, etc. Furthermore, we also can help by not littering now. We can stop breaking glasses and throwing out animals. If you really cared about animals you would stop littering so they're safe. Not everything can save the animals.
There are also children and families who would want some of the food you throw out. You need to eat what you can. BG doesn't like it nor does the planet.
I don't want to live in a nasty city or state. Broken glass can hurt kids and families that don't have shoes. Take my message and stop the littering; I love the way the Earth is now and I would love it even more if there was no litter at all. So stop!
I love my home. There are other people who do also.

Thank you, Karleigh, for such a wonderful letter to the editor. I think we should do lots more to make Bowling Green clean and healthy for the earth and also safe for animals too. I am so glad that you feel the same way. You write so well! I have four cats and a dog. When I walk my dog, I make sure she doesn't step on broken glass! I also have a horse and pony, but they live in Waterville and I visit them every day. I used to have two hens here in Bowling Green, but they moved to live on a farm with other friends. All of my animal companions will be glad to hear about how you want to make the planet safer and cleaner for humans and animals! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and read lots of good books! Namaste, Karleigh!

Very nice letter indeed. A nice place to start, would be with all the off campus rentals that have NO landscaping at all. And, living at the North side of Bowling green, let's not forget the Factories out there that have billowing smoke stacks that spew out really nasty smelling fumes for us all to breath. Notice this mostly in the warmer weather when every one is outside.

Good letter, nice to know that the next generation is thinking more about giving back to the earth, unlike some of our generation. Now, then let's address the the landlords in Bowling Green. Some are great, but they are unfortunately outnumbered by the ones that are not. Many Rental Properties in Bowling Green are NOT kept up, NO LANDSCAPING, parking lots instead of yards, so they can cram tenants in and and reap the all mighty dollar. Also, many do not take care of the yards, hardly mow, don't rake leaves, nor shovel sidewalks.
