I would like express my gratitude to the soldiers of National Guard Armory Co. B for the outstanding open
house on Sunday. My son went with me and was very excited to see all the soldiers and equipment. All the
soldiers of Bravo Company were very friendly and took time to listen and answer all of his (and my)
questions. The live demonstration was an excellent example of the highly skilled and professional
soldiers that we have living and training right here in Bowling Green. The displays were also very
interesting and informative. Not only did they show us the new weapons and equipment, but also
demonstrated some of the new equipment and techniques.
My son even tried to help set a solders leg. As a former soldier, it was nice to see the advances in
training and equipment that our fighting forces now have. It was also a treat to show my son some of the
things I did when in the Army. He is now six and always wanted to be a police officer, now he wants to
be a police officer in the Army. Thank you for a great afternoon and with the soldiers I met on Sunday,
it is easy to see why we have the best military force in the world.
