In this year's City Council for two at-large seats, Bowling Green is fortunate to have two well-qualified and experienced candidates: Bob McOmber and Sandy Rowland.
As current members of City Council, both Bob McOmber and Sandy Rowland have shown a genuine concern for the betterment of the city. They listen to constituents, do extensive homework on the issues that come before Council, and reach thoughtful decisions after weighing pertinent facts and considerations.
Both frequently explain the reasons for their positions. We respect their votes because of the thoroughness and thoughtfulness behind them. Also, both are open-minded and seek "common ground" between differing viewpoints.
In sum, both Bob McOmber and Sandy Rowland have superb records on City Council and are deserving of election on Nov. 5.
