I am writing to recommend your vote to re-elect Bob McOmber for a third term as an At-Large City Council member. An important distinction setting Bob apart from all other At-Large candidates is that he was elected by the voters, not appointed to fill a vacancy. He is also the second most senior member of Council. First elected in 2005, Bob has served as Chair of the Public Utilities and Finance Committees, both of which he is well qualified for. Bob has undergraduate (magna cum laude 1969) and Masters (1980) degrees in Business Administration from BGSU and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School (J.D. - 1976). Most of his working career was spent in the Finance and Law Departments of a Fortune 500 company and teaching business law classes at BGSU. Having known Bob since 2005, I can tell you he does not mind telling you where he stands on issues. He is against the Charter Amendment. He is also against fracking. Bowling Green is lucky Bob McOmber is willing to serve a third term - City Council and Bowling Green need his experience and leadership.
