To the Editor: May 2 beautiful day for National Day of Prayer

Thursday, May 2, was a beautiful day in more ways than one.  The National Day of Prayer Service was held at noon on the Court House steps.  
What a blessing it was to gather with and to pray for and with others.  
Abby Paskvan blessed those in attendance with her beautiful voice and message in song.  Prayers were given for our leaders in government, business, schools, the military, law enforcement, church and families.
The Color Guard from BGSU presented the Colors.
Leading up to the National Day of Prayer service was the daily Bible Reading Marathon.
Our freedoms are being compromised on a regular basis, but I am grateful that this one has not been taken away-yet.
Thank you Kristel Asmus for faithfully serving as the coordinator of this event.  
Thank you to all who participated.
