To the Editor: Mackin best for Perrysburg judge

I was quite amused at Wood County Commissioner Jim Carter's Letter to the Editor in the October 26 Sentinel-Tribune regarding Molly Mack. He stated: "She is therefore imminently qualified to step into the shoes that retiring Judge Dwight Osterud has filled for the past 23 years.", not realizing that the word "imminently" refers to something that is about to occur; hence her "qualifications" have not yet happened!
While I may not carry the influence of a county commissioner, I am supporting her opponent, Tom Mackin, who is eminently qualified for the office of Perrysburg Municipal Court Judge having handled numerous cases in that venue and as an independent, will keep politics out of the courtroom.
