I am writing this letter asking you to join with me in supporting Steven Knape for Bowling Green School Board. It has been my pleasure to know Steve for sometime now and I find him to be a very sensible person. Steve doesn't shrink from a challenge and gets involved in community organizations to create solutions to problems. Steve's daughter attends Bowling Green Schools, and he has been president of the Conneaut PTO for the past three years. When Steve told me he wanted to run for school board I asked if he was crazy, or a glutton for punishment? Was it possible he had not been reading the newspaper and was unaware of the contentious nature of things? It was, in fact, the difficult decisions facing the school board and the stressed relationship between the schools and the community that were the driving force behind his decision. Steve has always been a great communicator and a problem solver.
In his capacity as a parish pastor, not only did Steve develop a caring nature, but he is also a great listener. Steve possesses the calm, rational thought to bridge the gap between opposing viewpoints and reach a consensus. If elected Steve will be proactive, accessible to voters, listen to differing opinions, and will work tirelessly on our behalf. This is why I ask you to join with me on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in voting for Steven Knape for Bowling Green School Board.
