To Members of Bowling Green City Council:
During the annual Martin Luther King Celebration held Jan. 18, sponsored by the Human Relations Commission for the City of Bowling Green, Dr. Jack Taylor delivered the keynote address.  His remarks included the suggestion that the City of Bowling Green become known as a beloved city.  In fact, he proposed that since the city does not have a slogan that one should be adopted.  He offered the following slogan for consideration:   Bowling Green-Beloved City:  All are Welcome Here!
At the February meeting of the Human Relations Commission, members of the commission voted, as courtesy and follow-up, to support Dr. Taylor's proposal.  Further, members of the Human Relations Commission are asking the members of the Bowling Green City Council to take under consideration, for adoption, Dr. Taylor's  suggested slogan or a similar slogan appropriate for the City of Bowling Green.
Thank you for your consideration to begin a community dialogue about this idea.
