It has recently come to my attention that the Wood County Hospital blood draw station at Haskins and Poe
roads is to be closed on July 1.
I wish to strongly protest this action as it is the handiest location with the best parking, particularly
for those who are handicapped.
Regarding the three alternate places, Wood County Hospital has an appalling lack of parking spaces, the
new Falcon facility on East Wooster Street gets all the BGSU student traffic, and I don’t know what the
situation would be at the third spot which was mentioned.
Many people to whom I have talked feel that it is shameful for the hospital to put such a low value on
the welfare of its consumers.
