To the Editor: Help appreciated during frigid weather

0

The time is 3:55 p.m. and the temperature is 2 degrees below zero. I just came in from the frigid
outdoors after thanking Joe and Judy Amend, owners of Amend’s Small Engine Lawn Mowers in Rudolph, for
coming out to my house and fixing my snow blower so that I could clear my driveway and sidewalk. To my
surprise, not only did Joe fix my snow blower, he without a second thought to the subzero temperature
climbed onto the snowblower (I have a riding snow blower because of the length of my driveway and
sidewalk) and helped me clear my sidewalk and driveway. This is just another extraordinary example of
how caring and helpful the people and business owners in the Bowling Green and surrounding community
are. It is neighbors like Joe and Judy Amend that make BG a great place to live.
