To the Editor: Gardner thanked for meeting self-advocates

March is the designated month to promote the abilities and celebrate the accomplishments of people who have developmental disabilities! At Wood Lane, we certainly have much to celebrate!
On March 5, several individuals traveled to the state capital to participate in a day of celebration with people from around Ohio. While at the capital, self-advocates also have an opportunity to meet with their elected officials to discuss their concerns and interests.
This is an important day to the individuals served by Wood Lane.
Despite a miscommunication about the day's appointments and the very busy schedule of Senator Randy Gardner, he quickly made adjustments so that he could meet with the group of self-advocates from Wood County.
Senator Gardner, thank you. You are an incredibly compassionate and accessible legislator! Your work is important but you also know the importance of listening to your constituents. You truly make a difference and you especially made a difference on March 5.
