Ellen Scholl has served the children of Bowling Green Schools for more than a decade, first as PTO President of Conneaut Elementary School and, for the last eight years, as a member of the Bowling Green Board of Education. Fortunately for Bowling Green she is running for a third term on the board.
I was privileged to work with Ms. Scholl during my tenure as superintendent and know first hand of her excellent qualifications for the position. They include extensive knowledge of the school system and the laws which govern it, strong listening and communication skills, the perspective of a parent who has had children go through the system, and the ability to work with people to achieve consensus. But her strongest qualification is that she has one, unwavering agenda when dealing with the many challenges facing the schools and that is to always do what is best for the children of our community.
