On behalf of the BGHS Drama Club, we would like to thank the many area businesses and individuals who supported our recent trip to the International Thespian Festival. Their generosity provided 33 teens an opportunity to perform on a world-class stage in front of peers from across the country and beyond. The experience challenged our thinking, introduced us to new people, and ushered recent graduates one step closer to college.
Not only did we perform as a Featured Main Stage show, students also competed in Technical Theatre Challenge, College Auditions, and Individual Events. One member of our troupe became a finalist out of hundreds to perform a musical theater solo at the National Individual Events Showcase.
As we made new connections with Thespians all around the country, we were inspired to continue growing and cultivating artistic creativity in our high school and community. It became increasingly obvious as the week went on the positive impact theater experience has on students. The passion it inspires and the hard work it demands help us become not just better theatre students, but overall better human beings. We greatly appreciate all those who endorsed our endeavors with their financial donations!
