To the Editor: BG mayor appreciates help on ‘welcome’ sign

0

On behalf of the citizens of Bowling Green, I wish to offer a public "thank you" to a host of
people for making it possible to construct a "Welcome to Bowling Green" sign at the South Main
Street entrance into the City.
Special thanks go to Alan Kramer and his family, including his sister, Mary Ellen Pratt, for donating the
land; to the anonymous benefactor who generously contributed funds for the material and plantings; to
David Yeary for his design work; and to the Public Works Division for overseeing the construction.
Clearly this attractive new sign and its accompanying beautiful plantings, not only helps to create a
warm and inviting statement of welcome to the City but matches up nicely and appropriately with the
other privately funded signs on West Wooster and North Main streets.
Richard A. Edwards
