Re: Red-Light Camera,
Couple of weeks ago the Ohio House voted successfully to eliminate the red-light cameras in Ohio. Now, it's up to the Ohio Senate to act on the bill this fall.
My suggestion is don't ban them. Instead, only allow cities, counties and townships to keep 50% of the fines. The remaining 50% lump it together with the current Ohio gasoline tax. Thus, there more money for road work and maintenance without raising the tax which has not been raised for years and don't need to if the Senate agrees with me.
