|To the Editor: BG food pantry aided by BG’s generosity|

On Oct. 19, there was a statewide Boy Scout food drive. At the time of this drive, our shelves were low and getting close to empty. Once again, our friends in Bowling Green and surrounding areas showed just how much they care! The response was outstanding. You have showed us that you truly want to dig deep and help those who are in need of food. I was overwhelmed at the amount of food that came in. I am not surprised because I have always said BG has the most caring and generous people.
A special thanks to Jean Whitson who headed it up this year, the scouts who helped sort and carry the food in the rain, Girl Scout Troop 10067, who put the food on the shelves and the strong guys from NWOCC for carrying it all inside. We collected over 3,300 items! Thank you BG! God bless you all!
