BG citizens WAKE UP! Whether you agree or disagree with the Charter Amendment proposal, GET OUT AND VOTE. If we allow out-of-town promoters and activist college students to permanently impose this proposal on our town, we will deserve every effect and side-effect of its provisions. This proposal is a Trojan Horse- attractive in its general purpose but ultimately detrimental to the overall welfare of our community. Anti-fracking is the headline but elimination of all non-renewable energy is its target. The facts are that fracking is a geological non-issue and conventional energy is the current and essential engine of commerce. We can all agree that it would be better if all energy production, transmission and usage could be beneficial to the environment- but that is not technologically feasible today. This proposal is a bridge too far. But that's just my opinion- we need everyone's voice to be heard on election-day. Please vote.
