The lie about health insurance is that the current system works. It does not work for millions of
Americans.
I lost my job in 2009, I now work for a temp agency. My private insurance bill is $522 a month for basic
coverage plus prescription with a $2,000 deductible. Obamacare is not perfect by a long shot, but
something had to done for people like me and millions of other Americans of poor or modest means. There
is no honor in abandoning the poor. The lie was that the old system worked.
