|To the Editor: Abortion, slavery compared|

Since the BG Pregnancy Center is about to have its annual "Walk for Life" on Saturday, I would like to express another reason why abortion is wrong. I contend that there is a similarity with abortion and slavery. For example, take a look at a 30 week old baby/fetus. If this entity is outside of the womb it is a baby and has all the rights and privileges of any other human, but if that same entity is still within the womb it can be destroyed - why - because of location. Is not that similar to the thinking of the slave traders of the 1800s? Because an entity was from the continent of Africa it was elegible to be treated however the person in charge thought appropriate - all because of location. Slavery doesn't make sense, and neither does abortion.
