We are fortunate that we have the collective intelligence of our scientists who have brought the global warming issue to the front burner. Of course it is a coincidence that our diplomats were meeting in Copenhagen to buy and sell carbon units. What a neat way to tax evil industry into government control.
This scheme is not unique. We well remember many years ago when there was a big hole in the ozone layer and it was getting bigger threatening all with increase skin cancer. Of course it was a coincidence, at that time, our government was determined to replace that awful R-10 refrigerant and other fluorides. They had to be replaced with other agents that cost three times as much.
But we must admit our scientists were brilliant in plugging that hole in the ozone layer, because we haven't heard anything about that nasty hole for many years, so we can assume the hole was successfully plugged.
So, perhaps with the leadership of Al Gore, our planet will be saved from another horrible disaster.
