Downtown Bowling Green's Board of Directors supports the proposed city income tax increase.
The monthly cost to the average taxpayer is less than the price of two cups of coffee at a restaurant. Aperson making $60,000 would be taxed an additional $4 a month.
Conversely, the cost to consumers to replace the city services that might have to be cut would be significantly more than $4 a month.
As business people and taxpayers, we think that it only makes financial sense to support the increase.
