To the Editor: All Americans should have a right to health security

According to the Committee on Energy and Commerce there are 69,000 uninsured individuals in the 5th congressional district. The CBO estimates that nationwide 97 percent of all uninsured Americans will have coverage if America's Affordable Health Choice Act takes effect. All Americans should have a right to health security.
Although I am currently covered through my work my wife has cancer. If I should lose my job during these uncertain economic times we would be entirely unable to secure insurance for her on the open market. This is an entirely unacceptable situation for a nation that prides itself on the quality and standard of living of its citizens.
I encourage each person to advocate for the health security of this nation by supporting America's Affordable Health Choice's Act.
