An editorial in Wednesday’s Sentinel-Tribune incorrectly stated that an ad hoc committee included longevity factors in its recommendation to the Wood County park commissioners regarding compensation for park district employees.
The committee, at its Aug. 26 meeting, specifically excluded the longevity factors from its recommendation of a compensation plan. The committee also recommended that the park commissioners continue to work with the consulting firm Clemans, Nelson & Associates to determine the placement of individual park district employees within the compensation plan.
The ad hoc committee was created to work with the consultant that was hired to conduct a pay-scale study for park district employees.
