COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police at Ohio State University say an unconscious man has been pulled from Mirror Lake on the university campus.

Bystanders called authorities around 5 p.m. Sunday after seeing a man they thought was drowning. The 25-year-old was in cardiac arrest when he was pulled out of the water by OSU police officers and student safety officers.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (bit.ly/16AOxMI) rescuers performed CPR on the man before he was taken to a hospital.

OSU police have not released his identity but say he is not currently enrolled at Ohio State.
