Two people in van killed in Ohio Turnpike crash

FREMONT, Ohio (AP) — The State Highway Patrol says twopeople riding in a van were killed when it
was struck by a car travelingmore than 125 mph in northwest Ohio.Troopers were chasing the speeding car when
the accident happened around 7:15 p.m. Thursday on the Ohio Turnpike near Fremont.Officialssay the speeding
vehicle was traveling between 125 mph and 150 mph andhit at least three other vehicles over the course of 17
miles.The 24-year-old man allegedly driving that vehicle has been taken to the hospital with minor
injuries.The patrol says the names of the people who died were being withheld until their families could be
notified.The turnpike’s westbound lanes were closed for several hours but reopened early Friday.Copyright
