CAREY, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in north-central Ohio say two people were shot and killed at a sportsmen's club and the suspected shooter was arrested without incident.
The sheriff says the shooting occurred Friday night at the Carey Conservation Club located in Wyandot County about 75 miles northwest of Columbus.
The suspect was identified as 65-year-old Richard Clark of Tiffin.
The victims, both shot multiple times, were identified as 49-year-olds Roger Fredritz of Carey and Cynthia Hawkinberry of Tiffin. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
Investigators did not specify a possible motive in the case but Detective Sgt. Kerwin Wiseley of the county sheriff's office said Clark knew both victims.
Court records do not list an attorney for Clark.
