DEFIANCE, Ohio (AP) — The state Highway Patrol reports two people have been killed in a two-vehicle crash
in northwest Ohio.
Authorities
at the Patrol’s Defiance post say 25-year-old Lucas J. Carnahan and his
passenger, 23-year-old Constance M. Gray, both of Defiance, were killed
when Carnahan lost control of his Jeep and crossed onto the wrong side
of state Route 66 and was hit by a pickup truck around 11:30 a.m.
Sunday.
Police say the driver of the pickup, 20-year-old Bradley
E. Bodenbender, of Bryan, Ohio, was transported to a hospital with minor
injuries.
It wasn’t known immediately whether the area’s harsh
winter weather contributed to the crash. Highway lanes were closed as
troopers investigated.
