TIFFIN, Ohio (AP) — A grand jury in northwest Ohio has indicted three people who investigators say had
roles in an arson fire last month that left two people dead and one hospitalized.
The Seneca County grand jury on Thursday indicted 31-year-old Shey Weiker on charges including aggravated
murder and aggravated arson.
Authorities say Weiker used a railroad flare to start the May 26 fire in Fostoria that killed 48-year-old
Danny Marker Jr. and 44-year-old Tara Vance.
Also indicted was 44-year-old Charles Schaeffer on charges including complicity to aggravated murder and
complicity to aggravated arson. Twenty-year-old Timothy Hall was indicted on charges of tampering with
evidence and obstructing justice.
A detective said abuse allegations made against Marker spurred the group to set the fire. Their attorneys
have not returned calls seeking comment.
